It was recently announced that our fearless leader, Jurrah Jones (of Papa John's commercial fame and reminding us about winning 20 years ago), has struck a deal with fairly unthreatening corporation AT&T for the naming rights to the generic Cowboys Stadium.
Since AT&T cell phone commercials don't really piss me off, I don't really have an opinion on this historic pact. I mean I'm sure AT&T is a heartless and evil corporation like the rest of them, but I just don't know much about them.
How much did AT&T pay for the rights? The company paid between $17 and $19 million for yearly naming rights to Cowboys Stadium in Dallas. Length of the contract is speculated to be over 10 years at this time.
I'm disappointed it wasn't kept Cowboys Stadium but if you have to pick a sponsor, I guess AT&T Stadium doesn't sound so bad.
