In hyper-local news, the Blue Mesa that was once in the Addison shopping center has moved across the street to the old Ounce building. Ounce was some sort of steak place that I never went to and didn't really care to try out. Blue Mesa, on the other hand, has been a winner for me in the past.
My only complaint with this place, as the food is still quite good, is the service. It's not horrible, but it's.... awkward? I guess? You'll be greeted by like 4-6 different servers while you eat and it's really overly-attentive. I know this is a minor gripe, but I like to be left alone to eat my food, not talk to 5 different strangers. If I had to guess, it's probably company policy. They have to peddle various desserts and so on, which gets old.
Still, the new Blue Mesa is now open in much better view in Addison. It's easy to get to and can be found on Montfort just south of Beltline near that Mi Piasi place that I've also never been to.
